A town drawn around its train station

TMR was planned as a garden city. The big boulevards run out on the diagonal from the train station, the Town Hall on Roosevelt sits in the middle of it all, and the side streets curve off between little parks. It’s a place you drive slowly, partly because you’re never quite sure which way the next street bends.
In summer the clay tennis courts at Connaught Park are busy from morning on, and once it freezes the park’s lit skating oval takes over. Rockland Centre is on the east side of town when you need to shop, and the 40 runs along the north edge for anyone commuting out.
Plenty of the houses have a driveway or a garage, which makes a mobile detail easy. The van works on the car where it sits, so you don’t have to go anywhere.
Big maples, sticky cars
A lot of TMR’s shade comes from old Norway maples that reach right over the street and the driveways. From late spring into summer they drip sap on whatever is parked underneath. Fresh sap comes off in a wash. Leave it a few weeks in the sun and it bakes on, and then it can mark the clear coat.
If your car lives under one of those trees, a quick hand wash at the shop every couple of weeks in June and July keeps it from building up. An Express wash takes about 20 minutes. If you’re in that often, a LUX Essential membership covers unlimited Express washes.
Winter is the other half of the year. Road salt and slush from the 40 end up on the lower panels, the wheels and the floor mats. A mobile detail in the driveway cleans all that out in spring, and a ceramic coating put on at the shop before the first snow makes the next winter’s grime easier to wash off.

Before you book
Do I need to leave a hose or an outlet for you?
No. The van carries its own water and power, so nothing hooks up to your house. All we need is the car in your driveway or somewhere we can get around it.
The maple out front has covered my car in sap. Can you get it off in the driveway?
If it’s fresh, a Mobile Prestige Exterior is the right booking. Sap that has baked on for weeks can leave marks in the clear coat, and taking those out is paint correction, which we do at the shop. Not sure which one you’ve got? Call us at 438 817-8172 and tell us what it looks like.
How far is your shop from TMR?
About 12 minutes outside rush hour. We’re at 5300 Van Horne Ave, on the Hampstead and TMR side of Côte-des-Neiges. Hand washes, paint correction and ceramic coating all happen there.
Can you put a ceramic coating on at my house?
No, coatings need the bay, so the car comes to the shop for that one. There are three to choose from: Lustre (1 year), Elite (3 years) and Souverain (5 years).
