The fine circles you see in direct sun build up a little at a time: brushes in automatic washes, wiping a dry car, the wrong towel, a sponge that picked up sand in March. Each one leaves shallow scratches, and thousands of them read as haze.
Most “buffing” fills those scratches with a glaze. It looks good for a few weeks, then washes out. Correction polishes the clear coat down until the scratch is gone, so there’s nothing left to come back.

Book a starting stage
Pick the stage that sounds closest. If the paint needs more or less once we see it, we’ll tell you before we start.
Wash and decontaminate
Hand wash, clay bar, and iron and tar removal, so nothing gritty gets dragged around by the polisher.
Inspect
We go over every panel under inspection lights and mark where the damage is.
Cut and refine
The machine levels a thin layer of clear coat until the bottom of the scratch is gone, then a finer pass brings the gloss back. Enhancement is the finer pass only.
Final check and pickup
One last look under the lights. From 2 hours for an Enhancement to 5 h 20 for a Three-Stage on an SUV XL.

A newer car with light wash marks usually only needs a Paint Enhancement. It clears the haze without taking much clear coat off.
A daily driver with a few years of swirls usually needs Two-Stage Correction. That’s where most cars end up.
Three-Stage Correction is for paint that’s really damaged, with deep swirls or oxidation, or for a car that has to look close to perfect. It’s the most clear coat we’ll safely remove in one go.
Not sure? Book the stage that sounds closest and we’ll tell you once we’ve seen the paint. A detail is enough if the paint is only dirty, not scratched.
Corrected paint left bare starts picking up new marks the next time it’s washed badly. That’s why our 3 and 5-year ceramic coating packages include correction: we fix the paint first, then seal it. A coating put on swirled paint locks the swirls in for years.
Either way, wash it by hand from now on. If something isn’t right when you pick it up, tell us within 24 hours and we’ll make it right.
Paint correction is done at the shop only. It needs the bay and the inspection lights, so the van can’t do it.

The ones we remove are gone for good, because we level the clear coat instead of filling the scratch. New marks can appear from washing and driving, which is why most people protect the paint after a correction.
Paint Enhancement is one polishing pass. It clears light haze and brings back the gloss. Correction adds a cutting pass that levels the defects: two-stage removes roughly 70 to 80% of them, three-stage roughly 90 to 95%.
In small, measured amounts, yes. That’s the whole skill. We take the least clear coat that gets the result, and correction is done by our correction specialist, not a general detailer.
If your fingernail catches in it, it’s through the clear coat and polishing alone won’t remove it. That needs Scratch Repair, which you can add at booking. Correction handles everything shallower.
