Drive up Cavendish past the mall and it’s one tall building after another, and Côte-Saint-Luc Road is the same. If you live in one of them, your car probably spends the winter in the underground garage. Salt comes in on everyone’s tires, the slush dries on the floor, and by March most cars down there have the same grey film on the lower doors.
The van can sometimes work in those garages, but that’s your building’s decision, and some ceilings are too low for it. Check with your manager or syndicate first. If it doesn’t work out, the car can come to the shop instead. It’s a short drive.
Away from the main roads it’s mostly houses with their own driveways. Those are easy. The van carries its own water and power, so all we need is the car sitting there.
Then there’s the rail yard, which is right next door and huge. If your car lives outside anywhere near the tracks, you know the fine dust that settles on the hood and roof. Don’t wipe it off dry, because that drags the grit across the paint. Wash it off. A ceramic coating at the shop also helps, since dust rinses off a coated car much more easily.
Around town
Most of the week’s errands get done at Quartier Cavendish. There’s an IGA, a pharmacy and a Dollarama, and the CineStarz is up there for a movie on a rainy Sunday.
Up at the north end, Pierre Elliott Trudeau Park is where the kids end up. It has ball fields, a big climbing playground, a splash pad and Centennial Lake. In winter the lake freezes over for the Winter Carnival and the toboggan hill gets busy.
The shop is on your way
If you’re already out at the mall, the shop is only a few more minutes. An Express hand wash takes about 20 minutes. A Signature takes about 50.

Before you book
I’m in one of the towers on Cavendish. Can you do my car in the garage?
Maybe. It’s up to your building, and some garages are too low for the van. Ask your manager or syndicate before you book. If they say no, bring the car to the shop. It’s about five minutes away.
Will a regular wash get the rail yard dust off?
A proper hand wash takes off what’s sitting on top. If the paint still feels rough under your hand afterwards, something’s stuck to it. Bring it by and we’ll take a look and tell you what it needs.
Should I have the van come, or drive over to you?
Washes, paint correction and ceramic coating are shop-only, so for those you come to us. For a detail, either works. The van saves you the trip, and the shop prices are a little lower.
