New streets and wooded lots
The old village, Mascouche
Mascouche keeps adding streets. Les Jardins du Coteau went up on the old golf course beside the Grand-Coteau, and around Boisé de la Seigneurie, near the train station, the houses sit on wide lots with the woods left standing out back. Nearly everyone has a driveway, often a double one, and that’s all we need. The van parks beside the car and brings its own water and power, so you don’t have to leave a hose out.
In October those woods drop their leaves, and a car parked near them starts every morning under a wet layer of them. Left for a week or two, they can mark the paint. A Mobile Prestige Exterior in late fall clears them off along with the road grime, before the first salt goes down on the 640.
Horse country out on chemin Saint-Henri
Drive past the last of the new streets and Mascouche turns into fields and stables. Chemin Saint-Henri and chemin de la Côte-Georges have riding schools and boarding barns, and on a Saturday you’ll pass kids on the way to lessons and pickups hauling horse trailers. The country roads are quiet and pretty, and in spring the shoulders turn to mud that ends up behind every wheel.

The Grand-Coteau, and a walk by the river
For most families the weekend spot is the Parc du Grand-Coteau on boulevard de Mascouche. The Émilie-Mondor trails, named after the Olympic runner from Mascouche, go through the woods all year. In winter they groom them for cross-country skiing, people head out on snowshoes and fatbikes, and you can borrow a pair of snowshoes at the little pavilion for free. The park fills up for the Fête de la famille in June and again for the Festival des Arts on Labour Day weekend.
The quieter walk is at the Domaine seigneurial, on trails that start behind the aquatic centre and run through the woods along the Rivière Mascouche. The old manor is gone now, but the stone mill and the miller’s house are still there on the riverbank by chemin Sainte-Marie, and the forest on the far side of the river is being opened up for more trails.
All that snow comes home on your boots. It melts under the mats on the drive back, and by March the carpet is damp, the windows fog up and the car smells like a basement. A Mobile Prestige Interior sorts that out.
Ceramic and paint correction mean the long drive in
Hand washes, paint correction and ceramic coating need our bay at 5300 Van Horne, and we won’t pretend that’s close. From Mascouche it’s about 40 minutes with clear roads, down the 25 or across the 640, and a good deal more on a weekday morning. That’s too far to come in for a wash. Our Lux O Club washes happen at the shop too, so a membership only makes sense if you already work or spend time near Côte-des-Neiges.
The drive pays off for a ceramic coating. After a winter on the 640, salt and road film come off coated paint much more easily, and you can keep the car clean between mobile visits without much effort. If the paint already has swirls from automatic car washes, we do paint correction first. Fall is the best time for both, before the salt trucks come out.

I board my horse off chemin Saint-Henri and the car is full of hay and shavings. Can you get the barn out of it?
Most of it, yes. Hay, wood shavings and horse hair work their way into carpet and cloth seats, and a vacuum pass leaves half of it behind. That’s what the Mobile Prestige Interior is for, and most of the smell leaves with the mess. If your barn boots ride in the trunk, a rubber tray back there will save you a lot of cleanup between visits.
I show my work at the Festival des Arts every Labour Day weekend, and the car hauls the canvases, the clay and the folding tables. Can you clean up after that?
Yes. Book a Mobile Prestige Interior for the week after the festival. Clay dust and drips of paint settle into the carpet, and table legs scuff the plastic around the trunk opening. We clean the carpet and the trim. Paint that dried and soaked into the carpet fibres may not come all the way out, so tell us about it when you book.
Our lot backs onto the woods and the car is covered in wet leaves every fall. Is that bad for the paint?
It can be. Wet leaves left on the hood or roof for a week or two can leave brown marks on the clear coat. Brush them off when you can, and a Mobile Prestige Exterior takes off the fresh marks. Stains that sat there all winter may need paint correction, and that part happens at the shop.
